I'm a stay-home mom of a four-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl. I'm a bookworm and bibliophile. I'm a hobby baker and cake decorator (but not so much lately). I'm a former first-grade teacher and will go back to teaching after kids are in school. I love coffee and crossword puzzles, maps and libraries, the smell of Dreft and irises, playdates and baby smiles, gin and tonics and the changes of the seasons, road trips and used bookstores.

On this one,I really like the green dots along the vines, and the leaves not being filled in with more green....I think that's very artistic. The flowers--is that buttercream? So pretty!
Thank you! I totally got the non-filled in leaves and dots idea from a different type of cake I saw online. Beg, borrow and steal, I always say. :)
The flowers are royal icing done on the flower nail.
