I'm Back

A new batch of chefs has graduated. Tall white hats were flying. My sister was valedictorian and won two awards, one of which was the same award Sara Moulton won when she graduated there in 1977.

Our hotel was directly across from the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt so we visited there, too.

Blogger doesn't feel like uploading photos right now (or I don't feel like waiting long enough) so I'll post some later. I have a picture of FDR's library.

Congratulations to your sister :) Sounds like you had a fun trip. I can't wait to see the pictures. We drove up that way maybe ten years ago, and it was gorgeous.

Impressive! Must have made the family proud. Now what type of cooking/baking does she like to do?

Liesl--Yes, we had a great time. It is such a nice area. My sister's thinking of moving there sometime in the future.

Stephanie--That's the big question! She'll be doing catering for the rest of the summer while she looks for a job, but she's not sure what she wants to do.

BettyBetty--She LOVES baking, but her degree is only in culinary. She'd love to go back for her baking degree one day. Yeah, right! $60,000 more! Anyway, she just loves to cook everything, especially Italian and Asian.

Ah, so that sort of thing runs in the family!

Congratulations to your sister - that's quite an achievement.
