My Latest Creation

This was our niece's 9th birthday cake from two weeks ago. She wanted something with dolphins.

Wow, beautiful. Are they marzipan? How did you get such a nice photo with the candle flames? Is that your new camera? Flames/lights always make my photo blurry, no matter what setting I used.

Funky-- Thank you! Those dolphins are color flow. And everything else is regular icing. Oh, but the shells are candy melts done in my seashell mold. My husband took the picture (with our old camera). He said it was probably because the room was so bright that it came out good with the candles lit. It was like 2 pm in a sunny kitchen.

Looks really cool. I never forgot the cake my neighbor made for my sister's birthday (under ten). She made a cake shaped like a doll and the icing was a bazillion mini dollops of icing

Thanks everyone!

Liesl--I actually applied for a business license from the state and the last thing I had to do was get my kitchen inspected. But our house is too small and we didn't have enough storage space to have business ingredients separate from home ingredients and there were a bunch of other things I wasn't ready to do until maybe kids are older. Thanks for the compliment!
